Kyle caught the bug

The summer reading bug that is! The South Haven Memorial Library sponsored a summer reading program called, "Catch the Reading Bug!" Since Kyle and I already spend so much time reading I knew it would be no problem for him to finish. Even though we signed up a week after it started, we completed it on time and Kyle got a lot of prizes. You can see in the picture that he got a certificate, some coupons for some free ice cream cones, etc., a book of his choice, and some bugs. He may like the bugs best, LOL! (And is quite distraught that the yellow one is somewhere between where we stopped to watched the construction trucks and our house -- we were in the stroller on the way home from the library.)

I love that Kyle is a reader and seems to love books. Just this morning he came into my room when he woke up asking for one of his favorite books!

Awesome! Lauren had the same program for school. I wish our library had that for Madelyn.

Story hour and library trips were on of my favorite things when the kids were little.

You are doing a good thing. His love of books will last into adulthood.

Our Library is doing the same program but for older children. Someone at the library actually drives a red VW beetle and has black spots all over it (to look like a ladybug) and the kids get prizes if they spot the car around town too! haha Keep up the reading!
