Earlier this month South Haven held it's annual Ice Breaker festival. This is always a fun weekend, and the weather was perfect. Sunny, not too windy, but cold enough for those making ice sculptures.
In addition to all the ice sculptures to see downtown, there were also plenty of kids activities. We started off at the library for the Penguin Picnic, which was a big hit for both kids. My nephew Jack also had a great time. We then walked around downtown to see the sculptures. The kids' friends Romy and Sasha also walked with us. After that we hit the art center for crafts. Finally, on the way back to the car we checked out the skating show at the ice rink.
It was a great day!!!
Kyle and Jack walk like penguins with their legs rubber-banded.

I wish our town did something like this, very cool!
Ahh - finally a Michigan blogger! There are only a very few of us that I know of, and actually, I am mostly just a blogging lurker - I very seldom write in my own blog, cuz I am so behind in reading others!
Anyway - just wanna say don't forget to come and visit St. Joseph!!! We have a great Children's Museum, new water park, a new carousel, and we also have winter ice carving.....! My kids are all grown up now, but it was fun reading about all the stuff that you were doing with your kids, that we have done with ours in the past! (And there is always Fernwood Nature Center - esp. on Mother's Day!)
Anyway - Enjoyed your blog!
Hugs from St. Joe - Diane
